What are people's favorite RB tips? Here are some of mine. Some of them you've heard before, you probably won't agree with all of them, but they've worked well for me: (1) Russians should max out on their infantry purchases every day, and always buy their infantry in reserve. Buy an OBA module everyday if possible. (2) Russians can spend fortification purchase points on fortified locations, but try not to put them in locations that the Germans will eventually benefit from. Dummy counters and HIP are good purchases. Other fortifications like wire, pillboxes, and mines are too expensive for my tastes, but an occasional minefield in a juicy location is worthwhile. I like to fortify the heck out of the Commissar's House and Chemist's Shop and usually put my day-1-given fortified locations in the Commissar's House. This building probably won't see any action on day 1 but it's never too early to start thinking about its importance during the mid-CG. (3) Germans shouldn't take an idle day until they absolutely have to. Don't worry about the possible impact on your ELR. ELRing hurts the Russians much more than the Germans since Russian first line 447s ELR to conscripts while the German first line 467s ELR to 447s. Resist the temptation to go idle on day 3 or 4. Wait until day 10. :) (4) Because of the huge number of DRs made in a RB CG scenario, a point spent on SAN increase is a good purchase for both sides. (5) In order to win the Russian player has to play like a Russian and be sneaky - keep concealment, ambush with HIP units, engage in HTH CC, use the sewers. js _______________________________________________ Aslml-aslml.net mailing list Aslml-aslml.net@lists.aslml.net http://lists.aslml.net/listinfo.cgi/aslml-aslml.net To unsubscribe, visit the above website, or email webmaster@aslml.net
